Language Policy

The Revista de Segurança, Desenvolvimento e Defesa (RSDD) accepts manuscripts submitted in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, in accordance with the Author Guidelines.

In the case of manuscripts submitted in Portuguese, the journal adopts Brazilian Portuguese (PT-BR) as its editorial standard, with a view to ensuring linguistic uniformity and editorial consistency.

Accordingly, texts may be subject to orthographic and lexical adjustments, while fully respecting the content, style, and authorial choices, without compromising fidelity to the original text.

Manuscripts submitted in English and Spanish will be maintained in the respective linguistic variants adopted by the authors and will not be adapted to other variants of the same language, provided that they present grammatical correctness and internal consistency.

In specific cases, especially in international contributions from Portuguese-speaking countries, the Editorial Committee may, at its discretion, preserve the original Portuguese variant, provided that the linguistic coherence of the text and clarity for readers are ensured.
